Las Jornadas Culturales de los Caballos del Vino contarán con charlas-coloquio y muestras sobre diseño y bordado

El Bando de los Caballos del Vino incorpora las nuevas tecnologías aplicadas al cuidado y mantenimiento del caballo, con el desarrollo y puesta en práctica de una aplicación móvil (APP) que mide distintas variables sobre la salud y forma física del animal. Para ello, su presidente, Juan Damián Martínez, ha suscrito un acuerdo con la empresa murciana EqMetrics, que ha contado con el asesoramiento de la doctora Carla Aguirre, veterinaria del Hospital Clínico de la Universidad de Murcia.

            Este sistema -que fue presentado en la Casa-Museo de los Caballos del Vino con la presencia del alcalde de Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, y el concejal de Festejos, Óscar Martínez- permite que los caballos sean valorados durante sesiones de entrenamiento, transmitiendo en tiempo real valores como el ritmo cardiaco, temperatura, movimiento y otras mediciones que serán controladas e interpretadas por el entrenador, el veterinario o el propietario.

En este sentido, la Universidad de Murcia, a través de su Facultad de Veterinaria, está desarrollando un estudio, con las distintas variables que controla esta APP, en situación de reposo, entrenamiento y esfuerzo en carrera. “De este modo, se mantiene más controlada la salud del caballo y se mejora su rendimiento”, según explicó Juan Damián Martínez, que adelantó que el bando está cerrando otro convenio con la Universidad de Murcia para continuar trabajando en este sentido y que las peñas caballistas puedan mejorar el rendimiento de sus ejemplares con la información que se les facilitará sobre las conclusiones de los datos obtenidos.

            Jornadas Culturales del Bando de los Caballos del Vino

            El Bando de los Caballos del Vino comienza sus Jornadas Culturales este jueves, 1 de marzo, con una charla-coloquio sobre los primeros diseños de los enjaezamientos, que tendrá lugar en la sacristía de la antigua iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús, a las 20.45 horas. Para comenzar esta actividad, se realizará una representación visual de algunos de los trabajos realizados por los diseñadores Domingo Rodenas Sánchez, Antonio Pérez Elvira y Rafael Escámez García. Seguidamente, se celebrará una mesa redonda sobre la evolución de los diseños durante las décadas de los años 70, 80 y 90, que estará moderada por Francisco Marín Caro.

            La segunda actividad programada en el marco de las Jornadas Culturales del Bando de los Caballos del Vino será el miércoles 7 de marzo con una charla-coloquio sobre los primeros bordados, que estará acompañada por una muestra de trabajos realizados para el festejo por Isabel Bermúdez Campoy, Carmen González Rodríguez, Ramona García Martínez y Soledad Martínez Valdivieso y José Antonio Navarro ‘Jata’, en representación de su madre, Carmen Navarro Robles. Esta actividad, que también tendrá lugar a las 20.45 horas en la Compañía de Jesús, estará acompañada de una intervención del historiador y responsable del Archivo Municipal, Francisco Fernández García, que hablará de la figura de Dolores Michelena Olano, como una de las grandes artífices de la evolución de los Caballos del Vino.  

            El viernes 9 de marzo, a las 19.00 horas, las jornadas quedarán clausuradas en la Casa de la Cultura ‘Emilio Sáez’, con la entrega de premios del concurso de dibujo convocado por el Bando de los Caballos del Vino entre todos los escolares del municipio y la presentación del cartel 2018, que saldrá del dibujo merecedor del primer premio.
