La obra es un montaje de la compañía ‘Morfeo Teatro’ y se pondrá en escena este domingo, 21 de octubre

17/10/18. El teatro Thuillier de Caravaca de la Cruz será este domingo, 21 de octubre, a las 20.00 horas, escenario de la representación teatral ‘Los Cuernos de Don Friolera’, basada en uno de los tres ‘esperpentos’ que conforman la magna obra de Valle-Inclán ‘Martes de Carnaval’. Las entradas están a la venta en Nueva Joyería (calle Mayor) y antes de la representación se podrán adquirir en la taquilla del teatro, al precio de 10 euros y 8 euros reducida.

            La obra está producida por ‘Morfeo Teatro’, Montse Lozano y Gloria Muñoz, con la colaboración de la Concejalía de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Caravaca de la Cruz. ‘Morfeo’ es una compañía con sede en Burgos, reconocida por la singularidad y fuerte personalidad de sus propuestas. En su filosofía está el afán de adaptar o rescatar piezas poco habituales en el repertorio tanto clásico como contemporáneo asumiendo un  provocador sentido de la puesta en escena y una marcada cercanía con el espectador.

 

            ‘Los Cuernos de Don Friolera’retrata una España de principios del siglo XX en la que Valle critica los prejuicios morales de la pérdida del honor; por eso pretende, y logra con suma ironía, burlarse de sus personajes y de sus comportamientos de folletín sainetero, en una parodia satírica sin precedentes, que provoca risas crueles y desatadas sobre la tradición machista de los españoles.

La historia narra como el teniente Astete -don Friolera-, recibe un anónimo avisándole de que su mujer le engaña. Vuelto loco por los celos que siente de su frívola mujer, doña Loreta, tentada por un chulapo de medias tintas y vecino, el barbero Pachequín, e instigado por un malintencionado vecindario, trama tomar venganza.

Hace Valle también un repaso del ambiente del hampa y clases populares, de la connivencia de los contrabandistas y oficiales del ejército, en definitiva un retrato despiadado de la deteriorada consistencia moral de la sociedad española y del ambiente de frustración tras la pérdida de las Colonias. Pero sobre todo ese pesimismo Valle descarga su más poderosa arma de seducción, la risa. Una risa diabólica que resuena sobre nuestras cabezas, que no podemos contener desde el principio al fin del disparatado "esperpento".

 

El decorado de ‘Morfeo Teatro’ -unas gasas ajironadas en técnica de pintura collage que permiten diferentes juegos de transparencias- está inspirado en la serie de cuadros "Elegía a la República española" del pintor Robert Motherwell, perteneciente a la Escuela de Nueva York del expresionismo abstracto de mediados de siglo XX. En esta serie de cuadros que pinta Motherwell, al visitar España tras la Guerra Civil y quedar impresionado por las trágicas consecuencias del conflicto, es un tributo del pintor a sus admirados artistas españoles Picasso y Miró.
