El concierto y recital ‘Mírale a los ojos’ -con músicas, lectoras y escritoras caravaqueñas- será el acto central próximo martes, 26 de noviembre

Los centros educativos del municipio participan en acciones de sensibilización y prevención, impartidas por el personal del CAVI, dentro de las medidas del Pacto de Estado contra la Violencia de Género

El Ayuntamiento de Caravaca de la Cruz, a través de su Concejalía de Igualdad de Oportunidades, se suma a la conmemoración del ‘Día Internacional para la Eliminación de la Violencia de Género’, con distintas actividades de concienciación, según ha informado la concejal que dirige el área, Mónica Sánchez, acompañada por el equipo técnico responsable del CAVI.

El acto central será el concierto y recital ‘Mírale a los ojos’, en el que participará un nutrido grupo de mujeres de la localidad, gracias a la colaboración de alumnas del Conservatorio de Música ‘Leandro Martínez Romero’ y de las componentes del Club de Lectura de la Biblioteca. Se celebrará el próximo martes, 26 de noviembre, a las 20.00 horas, en la iglesia de San José de la Calle Mayor, y estará acompañado de la lectura de un manifiesto.

“Además de las iniciativas que hemos puesto marcha en colegios e institutos, hemos querido introducir en la programación este evento cultural, abierto a la sociedad, que servirá para mostrar esperanza y apoyo a las víctimas, pero también para expresar nuestra firme condena a todo maltrato”, ha señalado la concejal Mónica Sánchez.

El lunes 25 de marzo, todos los centros educativos del municipio serán los protagonistas de los actos del ‘Día Internacional para la Eliminación de la Violencia de Género’. En los centros de Secundaria se leerá el manifiesto y en Infantil, Primaria y 1 de la Eso se realizará una campaña de sensibilización a través del cuento para educar en igualdad: “La princesa Carlota y su dragón Mascota”.

Las acciones de concienciación no se reducen al 25 de marzo, ya que desde el mes octubre a enero, el CAVI está impartiendo en los centros de Secundaria charlas para ‘Prevención de la Violencia de género en adolescentes’. Recientemente, también se ha celebrado el taller juvenil ‘Caravaca da la chapa’, iniciativas enmarcadas en el Pacto de Estado contra la Violencia de Género.

Las emisoras de radio de la Comarca también van a colaborar con el CAVI en la difusión de los objetivos del ‘Día Internacional para la Eliminación de la Violencia de Género’, con espacios de información y sensibilización en medios de comunicación, canciones y lectura de cuentos.

Centro de Atención Víctimas de Violencia de Género (CAVI)

Caravaca fue en 2016 municipio pionero en descentralizar el Centro de Atención Especializada para Mujeres Víctimas de Violencia de Género (CAVI) de la capital e implantarlo en el municipio.

Desde su puesta en macha ha atendido a más de un millar de usuarias de los municipios del Noroeste. Hasta el pasado mes de octubre el CAVI había atendido 80 nuevas usuarias, frente a las 64 que recibieron asistencia en el mismo periodo de 2018, tal y como se hizo público tras la Mesa Local contra Violencia de Género convocada recientemente por el Ayuntamiento de Caravaca.

El CAVI está atendido por un equipo multidisciplinar formado por una trabajadora social, una abogada y una psicóloga. Su horario de atención al público es de 08.00 a 15.00, de lunes a viernes. Los lunes también permanece abierto de 15.30 a 19.00 horas. El servicio está situado en el Centro Municipal de Empleo y Formación e Igualdad (968 72 22 22 o 901 que deriva a la central de la Red de CAVIS Región de Murcia).

Servicio de Prevención y Atención Víctimas de Abusos y/o Agresiones Sexuales (Cavax)

La Dirección General de Mujer, en colaboración con la Concejalía de Igualdad de Oportunidades, ha implantado en Caravaca de la Cruz el Servicio de Prevención y Atención Integral a Víctimas de Abusos y/o Agresiones Sexuales (Cavax), para dar cobertura a los municipios de la Comarca del Noroeste.

El Cavax ofrece asistencia psicológica e información sobre los recursos al alcance de las víctimas y cuenta con servicio de acompañamiento en procesos judiciales y de otra índole; también realizará campañas de sensibilización y prevención en el municipio.

Las profesionales del CAVAX se desplazan los últimos lunes cada mes, de 9 a 14.00 horas, al Centro Municipal de Empleo y Formación.
