En este blog podremos encontrar los antecedentes hist\u00f3ricos. In this blog we can find the historical antecedents. It is available in English and Spanish.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Teatro decimon\u00f3nico en Caravaca de la Cruz<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El gusto por el teatro de los caravaque\u00f1os es proverbial y viene desde la antig\u00fcedad, prueba de ello es que al menos desde 1581, est\u00e1 documentado, que el Corpus se celebraba con representaciones teatrales religiosas; teatro de calle que se mantendr\u00eda durante todo el siglo XVII.\u00a0 Algo m\u00e1s tarde, en torno a 1656, sabemos de la existencia de una ermita dedicada a N.S. del Buen Suceso y ligado a ella, un patio de comedias cuya recaudaci\u00f3n le quedaba destinada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s del <strong>Patio de Comedias del Buen Suceso<\/strong>, a partir del siglo XVIII se representaban piezas en la Plaza Mayor, siempre con motivo de alg\u00fan suceso importante vinculado a la poblaci\u00f3n.\u00a0 En Caravaca actuaron c\u00f3micos de Murcia y compa\u00f1\u00edas de farsantes o comedias, en 1769, 1797 y 1771. Pero hasta\u00a0 mediados del siglo XIX no se construye un teatro moderno acorde con la importancia de Caravaca. Se encomendaron sus obras a Alejandro L\u00f3pez y los decorados pict\u00f3ricos al sardo Enrique D\u2019Almont que adem\u00e1s asumi\u00f3 su direcci\u00f3n. El edificio se dio oficialmente por terminado el 3 de mayo de 1847 inaugur\u00e1ndose con una obra de teatro esa misma noche.\u00a0 La inversi\u00f3n super\u00f3 los 60.000 reales. Un cuarto de siglo despu\u00e9s hubo que reparar el desgastado mobiliario y se repuso la decoraci\u00f3n. Fue el momento en el que el Ayuntamiento decidi\u00f3 ceder el local de manera gratuita a las compa\u00f1\u00edas de aficionados.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Diario de Murcia no precisa qu\u00e9 compa\u00f1\u00eda era la que actuaba en Caravaca all\u00e1 por 1881 con motivo de las fiestas de la Cruz.\u00a0 Sabemos que en octubre actuaba en la localidad la compa\u00f1\u00eda dirigida por Ricardo Simo, que proced\u00eda de \u00c1guilas. Pero al a\u00f1o siguiente fue una compa\u00f1\u00eda de zarzuela que estaba actuando en Cartagena con gran \u00e9xito la que visit\u00f3 la poblaci\u00f3n. Era su principal protagonista el tenor c\u00f3mico murciano Pablo L\u00f3pez. En el verano de 1889 el teatro local vio en su escena la <strong>zarzuela \u00abClotilde\u00bb<\/strong> del autor Abelardo Rodr\u00edguez y m\u00fasica del pianista Nogueras que, a decir del comentarista de prensa, \u00abestuvo animada y graciosa\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dos acontecimientos teatrales tuvieron lugar en 1892. En marzo se representaba en Los Royos el cl\u00e1sico de Zorrilla \u00abDon Juan Tenorio\u00bb, curiosamente fuera de temporada y meses despu\u00e9s pasaba por Caravaca la compa\u00f1\u00eda infantil de zarzuela del colegio cartagenero Progreso y Porvenir de la Infancia, que actuaba bajo la direcci\u00f3n de Vicente Fuster.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En muchas localidades hab\u00eda alg\u00fan grupo de teatro compuesto por aficionados; tambi\u00e9n en Caravaca y en 1893 pusieron en escena dos obras en la noche del d\u00eda del Corpus: \u00abLa cruz del matrimonio\u00bb y \u00abEl loco de la buhardilla\u00bb. Algunos de sus componentes eran: \u00abEncarnaci\u00f3n Calzada, se\u00f1ora Torrecilla, se\u00f1ores L\u00f3pez Melgares, P\u00e9rez Miravete, etc\u00bb. La funci\u00f3n se clausur\u00f3 con la actuaci\u00f3n de un sexteto dirigido por Alfonso Garc\u00eda de Murcia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Las ordenanzas municipales dedicaron varios art\u00edculos al comportamiento c\u00edvico de los ciudadanos en el teatro, en 1895. El objetivo era lograr que un sector de p\u00fablico demasiado vehemente guardara la compostura precisa durante las representaciones. En cuanto a las actuaciones, aquel mismo a\u00f1o volvi\u00f3 una compa\u00f1\u00eda de zarzuela ya conocida en Caravaca que, bajo la direcci\u00f3n de Pablo L\u00f3pez, andaba de gira por Cartagena, Almer\u00eda y Albacete, todo un aut\u00e9ntico lujo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6189 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.turismocaravaca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/thuillier-antiguo.jpg\" alt=\"thuillier antiguo\" width=\"404\" height=\"318\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Escenario del Teatro Thuillier 1906<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>La Compa\u00f1\u00eda Gorg\u00e9 y Grajales<\/strong> pon\u00eda en escena con motivo de los festejos de la feria de septiembre en 1898, dos zarzuelas. El a\u00f1o hab\u00eda comenzado con una funci\u00f3n a beneficio de la asociaci\u00f3n procesionista de los blancos a cargo de una compa\u00f1\u00eda local de aficionados dirigida por Vicente de la Torre. La siguiente referencia hallada es de tres a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, es decir, de 1901 y el momento, las fiestas de la Cruz, pero el precio excesivo de las entradas provoc\u00f3, al parecer, un fracaso de p\u00fablico; otro tanto le sucedi\u00f3 a la compa\u00f1\u00eda de zarzuela que en octubre visit\u00f3 la localidad. Pero en 1902 fue una compa\u00f1\u00eda c\u00f3mica la que pis\u00f3 escenario en Caravaca con Espantale\u00f3n al frente. Tambi\u00e9n se representaron obras de teatro en el Sal\u00f3n Novedades, desde 1909 y en el Sal\u00f3n Teatro del Casino, en 1911.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>La compa\u00f1\u00eda de Emilio Thuillier<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La compa\u00f1\u00eda dram\u00e1tica del malague\u00f1o <strong>Emilio Thuillier Marin<\/strong> visit\u00f3 Caravaca en 1903 y alcanz\u00f3 tal \u00e9xito que se decidi\u00f3 poner su nombre al teatro.\u00a0 Por cierto, el cuarto teatro data de 1926 y se trata del Gran Teatro Cinema que, como su nombre indica, naci\u00f3 m\u00e1s orientado al s\u00e9ptimo arte que a las representaciones esc\u00e9nicas.\u00a0 A pesar de ello, para todo se empleaba y prueba de ello es que la Compa\u00f1\u00eda de zarzuela Galv\u00e1n-Andreu, de reconocido prestigio en la Regi\u00f3n, visit\u00f3 Caravaca en octubre de 1905 y cosech\u00f3 en ella un nuevo \u00e9xito.\u00a0 En la feria de 1910 pasar\u00edan por el teatro una docena de obras diferentes, destacando las de los hermanos \u00c1lvarez Quintero. En 1914 triunf\u00f3 en el Teatro Thuillier\u00a0 la Compa\u00f1\u00eda de zarzuela dirigida por Pascual Gregori y Mateo J. Nogueras.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-6188 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.turismocaravaca.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/emilio-thuillier.jpg\" alt=\"emilio thuillier\" width=\"227\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dando un considerable salto en el tiempo, cabe mencionar que en 1925 se celebr\u00f3 una funci\u00f3n ben\u00e9fica a beneficio de la Santa Cruz.\u00a0 La Compa\u00f1\u00eda era de aficionados locales y pusieron en escena una comedia de los hermanos \u00c1lvarez Quintero titulada \u00abDo\u00f1a Clarines\u00bb adem\u00e1s del juguete c\u00f3mico \u00abLola, Lolilla, Lolita y Lolo\u00bb. Actuaron Julia y Pepita Mart\u00ednez Carrasco, Jos\u00e9 Melgares Alfonso, Carmen Celdr\u00e1n y Andr\u00e9s Piqueras y las hermanas Bolt, entre otros. Meses despu\u00e9s, los caravaque\u00f1os disfrutaban con la comedia de los hermanos \u00c1lvarez Quintero titulada \u00abEl genio alegre\u00bb.\u00a0 Benizar dispuso del Teatro de la Infancia desde 1926. En cuanto a obras y autores, rese\u00f1ar la existencia de un mon\u00f3logo dram\u00e1tico escrito en 1918 por J. Jos\u00e9 Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez, titulado \u00abLa hija del emigrante\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Su \u00faltima remodelaci\u00f3n, a cargo de los arquitectos Joaqu\u00edn y Manuel Sainz de Vicu\u00f1a, tiene lugar en 1986. El aforo del teatro es de 428 plazas. Actualmente en \u00e9l se llevan a cabo proyecciones cinematogr\u00e1ficas, obras de teatro, actuaciones locales, entre otras actividades culturales. Somewhat later, in lathe to 1656, know of the existence of a chapel dedicated to our Lady of Buen Suceso and linked to it, a patio of comedies whose collection was intended.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, to the Patio of comedies of the Buen Suceso, from the 18th century parts represented in the Plaza Mayor, always on the occasion of some important event related to the population. In Caravaca acted comedians of Murcia and companies fakers or comedies, in 1769, 1797 and 1771. But a modern theatre in keeping with the importance of Caravaca is not built until the mid-nineteenth century. The function is closed with a performance by a sextet led by Alfonso Garc\u00eda de Murcia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Municipal ordinances devoted several articles to civic behaviour of the citizens Theatre, in 1895. The objective was to achieve that a too vehement public sector kept the precise composure during performances. As for the performances, that same year returned a company of zarzuela already known in Caravaca which, under the direction of Pablo L\u00f3pez, walking tour of Cartagena, Almeria and Albacete, a real luxury.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Stage of the Teatro Thuillier 1906<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The company Gorge and Grajales put in scene on the occasion of the celebration of the fair in September in 1898, two operettas. The year had begun with a function to the benefit of the Association procesionista of whites by a local amateur company directed by Vicente de la Torre. The following reference found is three years later, i.e. in 1901 and the time, the festivities of the cross, but the excessive price of tickets, apparently caused a failure of public; the same happened to the company of Operetta who visited the town in October. But in 1902 was a comic company that stepped on stage in Caravaca with Espantaleon in front. Also plays were represented in the news room, since 1909 and at the Teatro Casino lounge, in 1911.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The company of Emilio Thuillier<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Malaga&#8217;s Emilio Thuillier Marin dramatic company visited Caravaca in 1903 and reached such a success that it was decided to put his name to the theatre. Indeed, the fourth Theatre dates back to 1926 and it&#8217;s Grand Theatre Cinema, which, as its name suggests, was born more oriented to the seventh art that plays. Despite this, for everything is used and proof of this is that the company of zarzuela Galvan-Andreu, of recognized prestige in the Region, visited Caravaca in October 1905 and reaped new<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Success in it. Months later, the caravaque\u00f1os enjoyed the \u00c1lvarez Quintero Brothers Comedy titled \u00abThe happy genius\u00bb. Benizar had the children&#8217;s Theatre since 1926. In terms of works and authors, mentioning the existence of a dramatic monologue written in 1918 by J. Jos\u00e9 Ib\u00e1\u00f1ez, entitled \u00abThe daughter of the emigrant\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Its last remodel, by architects Joaqu\u00edn and Manuel Sainz de Vicu\u00f1a, takes place in 1986. The capacity of the theatre is 428 seats.
