La Semana de Teatro de Caravaca de la Cruz, que alcanza su XXXIX edición, se celebrará del 22 al 28 de julio con la participación de diferentes compañías locales, murcianas y del panorama nacional, que pondrán en escena espectáculos de géneros como la comedia, el monólogo o el drama histórico.

El festival -uno de los más antiguos de la Región de Murcia y de los de mayor trayectoria de España dentro de esta rama de las artes escénicas- ha sido presentado sobre las tablas del escenario del Teatro Thuillier por el concejal de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Caravaca, Juan Manuel de León; el coordinador del festival, José Antonio López Navarro ‘Jata’; la autora del cartel anunciador, Ana María Vacas, los actores Jesús Martínez, Lola Salcedo y el director Antonio L. Pedraza.

Juan Manuel de León ha manifestado que la Semana de Teatro es un evento cultural completamente consolidado y una referencia en la programación cultural de la comarca del Noroeste. “Desde sus primeras ediciones a comienzos de la década de los años 80 en el claustro del Castillo, esta cita teatral ha ido afianzándose con el paso del tiempo. Por Caravaca han pasado grandes espectáculos y reputados representantes de la escena española”, ha expresado de León.

De León ha destacado que “por las tablas del teatro de la Plaza Nueva actuarán actores y actrices consagrados de la escena española, como Beatriz Carvajal, Kiti Manver, María Garralón, Jesús Manuel Ruiz o María Castro, junto con grandes profesionales que desde la Región de Murcia apuestan por un teatro de calidad y personal, como Jesús Martínez, Luis Martínez o Lola Salcedo”. “Animo a todos a disfrutar de la experiencia personal del teatro, con la asistencia a las representaciones que darán comienzo a las 22.30 horas”, señaló.
