El Belén, que podrá visitarse en la antigua iglesia de San José hasta el 5 de enero, bate record en cuanto a dimensiones, con unas 350 figuras del artesano murciano Jesús Griñán y nuevas escenografías como la del templo de Egipto

El encendido del alumbrado especial navideño incluirá este viernes 2 de diciembre las calles Gran Vía, Maruja Garrido, paseo de la Corredera, Templete, Juan Carlos I, Cartagena, Constitución y las plazas de Paco Pim, Templarios, Caballos del Vino y la fachada de la Plaza de Toros, que por primera vez cuenta con iluminación de Navidad

Una de las novedades será el Parque de la Navidad instalado en el parque Pedro García-Esteller, con un árbol gigante, un tiovivo y un 'photocall' para hacer fotografías

Para contribuir al ahorro al energético, se reducirá una hora el tiempo del encendido de las luces en los días laborables, apagándose a las 24.00 horas

Con la inauguración y bendición del Belén Municipal y el encendido de las luces en una parte de las calles donde están instaladas (las de la zona más comercial de la ciudad), el Ayuntamiento de Caravaca de la Cruz dará inicio a la temporada de Navidad este viernes, 2 de diciembre. La completa programación de actividades que acompañará a estas fechas será presentada la próxima semana.

Un Belén con más de 350 figuras y varias novedades

El acto de inauguración y bendición del Belén, instalado nuevamente en la antigua iglesia de San José, contará con la actuación musical de la Hermandad de Ánimas de Caravaca. Al finalizar se repartirá licor café y dulces navideños entre los asistentes.

El Belén del Ayuntamiento de Caravaca de la Cruz bate record en cuanto a dimensiones y número de figuras y construcciones. Tiene una superficie de 60 metros cuadrados y cuenta con más de 350 figuras realizadas por en los talleres de Jesús Griñán, uno de los artesanos murcianos más reconocidos en el mundo del belenismo. Las edificaciones, construidas en exclusiva para este Belén, fueron realizadas por la artesana Isabel Tornero. Este año el montaje cuenta con la novedad de un templo egipcio, así como nuevas escenografías, juegos de agua con puentes y montañas.

El Belén podrá visitarse del 3 de diciembre al 5 de enero (24 y 31 de diciembre (Nochebuena y Nochevieja) abierto solo en horario de mañana, y 25 de diciembre y 1 de enero (días de Navidad Y Año Nuevo), cerrado), en horario de 11:00 a 13:30 y de 17:30 a 20:30 horas.

Encendido parcial de las luces de Navidad

Tras la inauguración del Belén se encenderán las luces instaladas en las calles Gran Vía, Maruja Garrido, paseo de la Corredera, Templete, Juan Carlos I, Cartagena, Constitución y las plazas de Paco Pim, Templarios, Caballos del Vino y la fachada de la Plaza de Toros, que por primera vez cuenta con iluminación de Navidad.

El objetivo del encendido en esa zona es incentivar las compras y apoyar al comercio local en vísperas del puente con las festividades de la Constitución y la Inmaculada.

La plaza del Arco y las calles Mayor y Rafael Tegeo se encenderán el viernes 9 de diciembre, una vez finalizado el Mercado Medieval y tras el espectáculo piro musical que tendrá lugar ese día como bienvenida de la Navidad. De esta manera, combinando ambos encendidos, se conjuga la celebración del Mercado Medieval, que tras tres años regresa a su emplazamiento de las calles del casco histórico, con la ambientación navideña en las calles de la zona nueva de la ciudad.

Este año, y para contribuir al ahorro al energético, se reducirá una hora el tiempo del encendido de las luces en los días laborables, apagándose a las 24.00 horas, manteniéndose durante los días festivos hasta las 2.00 horas.

El Templete contará este año en su interior con un Belén de tamaño monumental con figuras policromadas, sustituyendo al de luces que este año se colocará en la fachada de la Plaza de Toros. Igualmente se mantiene la decoración luminosa en el paseo de la Corredera, que comenzó a instalarse en 2019.

En cuanto a las pedanías, las luces que se instalan en todas ellas se encenderán entre los días 7 y 9 de diciembre.

Otra de las novedades será el Parque de la Navidad instalado en el parque Pedro García-Esteller, con un árbol gigante, un tiovivo y un photocall para hacer fotografías.
