La novena edición del festival se celebra del 29 de marzo al 1 de abril con cuatro conciertos, talleres y clases magistrales

“Con este evento cultural y educativo combinamos el gran atractivo que supone para el público escuchar a músicos de prestigio mundial y una oportunidad única de formación para el alumnado del conservatorio”, ha destacado el alcalde

 Mabel Millán, ganadora de un Premio Grammy, protagoniza uno de los recitales de este festival que regresa tras el forzoso paréntesis de dos años motivado por la pandemia

 El concierto de clausura correrá a cargo del virtuoso Cecilio Perera, un clásico del festival caravaqueño que en esta ocasión actuará acompañado por la Orquesta del Cuerda del Conservatorio ‘Leandro Martínez Romero’

El Festival de Guitarra ‘Ciudad de Caravaca de la Cruz’, que organiza el Ayuntamiento de la localidad a través del Conservatorio Profesional de Música ‘Leandro Martínez Romero’, da un nuevo salto de calidad y reunirá del 29 de marzo al 1 de abril a consagrados compositores y músicos de la escena nacional e internacional.

 

La novena edición de esta cita con la cultura y la formación musical, que regresa tras el forzoso paréntesis de dos años impuesto por la situación sanitaria de la panemia, se compone de cuatro conciertos, talleres y clases magistrales, siendo todas las actividades de acceso gratuito hasta completar aforo.

 

El festival caravaqueño es el primer evento de la Región de Murcia dedicado en exclusiva a un instrumento tan nuestro como la guitarra española, donde se combina el gran atractivo cultural que supone escuchar a músicos de prestigio mundial y la oportunidad única de formación para el alumnado de conservatorio mediante las clases magistrales que se imparten antes de los conciertos”, según ha señalado el alcalde, José Francisco García, acompañado del concejal de educación, Pepe Fernández Tudela, y del coordinador del festival, el profesor Erick Tinoco.

 

José Francisco García ha destacado que “este festival, donde se van a dar cita guitarritas premiados en los festivales internacionales de mayor prestigio, se ha consolidado  ya como uno de los hitos culturales anuales Caravaca de la Cruz”.

 

La programación del IX Festival de Guitarra ‘Ciudad de Caravaca’, que combina diversos estilos y formatos, dará comienzo el martes de 29 de marzo. El concierto inaugural estará protagonizado por el ‘Dúo Contrastes’, creado en 2011 en París por Paola Requena y Víctor Bravo, con un estilo propio influenciado por técnicas y ritmos provenientes del flamenco así como de músicas eslavas y otras culturas.

 

        El miércoles, 30 de marzo, el concierto estará protagonizado por un cuarteto flamenco integrado por los músicos de dilatada trayectoria José Antonio Sánchez Aarnoutse (guitarra), Agustín Garnés (voz), Jesús Gea Marcos (contrabajo) y Enrique González (percusión). Su disco, ‘El arte del encuentro’, resultó premiado como mejor álbum en los Premios de la Música de la Región de Murcia.

 

        El jueves, 31 de marzo, la ciudad de Caravaca recibirá Mabel Millán, con una trayectoria de 34 premios internacionales y actuaciones en las salas más prestigiosas de España. Su último trabajo ‘Mabel Millán Gran Recital’ fue el ganador del Premio Grammy en la categoría de ‘Mejor Obra Clásica Contemporánea’.

 

        La clausura del festival, que tendrá lugar el viernes 1 de abril, correrá a cargo del virtuoso Cecilio Perera, convertido en una las señas de identidad del festival caravaqueño puesto que ha participado en todas sus ediciones, siendo siempre aclamado por el público. En esta ocasión, actuará acompañado de la Orquesta de Cuerda del Conservatorio ‘Leandro Martínez Romero’. Perera está considerado uno de los guitarristas mexicanos más importantes de la última década en el género de la guitarra clásica. Entre los reconocimientos por los importantes logos en su carrera destaca el primer premio del ‘Concurso Internacional de Guitarra de La Habana, Cuba’, uno de los certámenes más importantes del mundo.

 

        Todos los conciertos se celebrarán a las 20.00 horas, con acceso gratuito. Los tres primeros tendrán como marco la iglesia del Convento de los Padres Carmelitas Descalzados y el de cierre será en la iglesia de San José del antiguo Convento de las Madres Carmelitas.

 

        Además de los conciertos ya citados, el IX Festival de Guitarra ‘Ciudad de Caravaca de la Cruz’ incluye actividades paralelas de formación en el salón de actos del propio conservatorio. Para esta edición está previsto el taller ‘Guitarra flamenca para guitarristas clásicos’ a cargo de Víctor Bravo (martes, 29, a las 17.00 horas), la conferencia ‘La guitarra, una perspectiva diferente’ por Mabel Millán (jueves, 31, a las 16.30 horas) y las clases magistrales a cargo de Cecilio Perera, Paola Requena, Pepe Payá y Marco Smaili.
