El Ayuntamiento de Caravaca de la Cruz ha convocado la Mesa Local contra Violencia de Género para analizar las actuaciones llevadas a cabo por el Centro de Atención a las Mujeres Víctimas de Violencia (CAVI) y planificar actividades de sensibilización y concienciación social.
El horario de atención al público del CAVI de Caravaca es de 08.00 a 15.00, de lunes a viernes. Los lunes también permanece abierto de 15.30 a 19.00 horas. El servicio se encuentra situado en el Centro de Formación, Igualdad y Empleo, en la calle Diego Cortés, junto al jardín de El Cejo. Los teléfonos para cita previa son 968 72 22 22 y el 901 que deriva a la central de la Red de CAVIS Región de Murcia.

‘Cambio climático. El gigante que amenaza la tierra’ es el título de la conferencia que Cayetano Gutiérrez Pérez ofrece en Caravaca de la Cruz este jueves, 7 de febrero, a las 20.00 horas, en el salón de actos de la Casa de la Cultura ‘Emilio Sáez’.
La charla está enmarcada en la programación de las jornadas ‘Una educación para el siglo XXI. Miradas desde las ciencias y las artes’, con las que colabora la Concejalía de Educación del Ayuntamiento de Caravaca de la Cruz.

El tributo 'Abba. Memory Tours 77-80' se celebra este viernes, 8 de febrero, a las 22.00 horas, en el teatro Thuillier de Caravaca de la Cruz, de la mano de la banda ‘The Troupers’ y Caver Espectáculos, fruto de la colaboración entre la Concejalía de Cultura del Consistorio caravaqueño y el Instituto de las Industrias Culturales y de las Artes de la Región de Murcia (ICA), dentro de la presente edición del Plan Regional Escena. Las entradas se pueden adquirir de forma anticipada en Nueva Joyería (calle Mayor), al precio de ocho euros, y en taquilla a diez euros.

Los vecinos y vecinas de Caravaca de la Cruz donaron el pasado año 2018 un total 83.356 kilogramos de ropa, juegues y calzado, según los datos facilitados por la asociación Proyecto Abraham. De esta forma, se consigue una segunda vida útil para estos posibles residuos y se contribuye a generar empleo entre personas en situación o riesgo de exclusión social. La Concejalía de Servicios Sociales del Ayuntamiento de Caravaca de la Cruz mantiene un convenio de colaboración con dicha entidad sin ánimo de lucro, mediante el cual permanecen instalados en la vía pública un total de 38 contenedores, además de una tienda en la calle Juan Carlos I.

El Hospital Comarcal del Noroeste ha puesto en funcionamiento los nuevos quirófanos. El proyecto, financiado por la Consejería de Salud, ha consistido en la ampliación de la zona quirúrgica, con la construcción de dos nuevos quirófanos y la reforma de los cuatro existentes. El alcalde ha acompañado al presidente de la Comunidad Autónoma, Fernando López-Miras, y al consejero de Salud, José Manuel Villegas, en la inauguración de los nuevos quirófanos y de un centro de día para la atención a pacientes con tratamiento oncológico. En los cuatro quirófanos que ya estaban en funcionamiento las mejoras se han centrado principalmente en la climatización y la estanqueidad.

Las concejalías de Educación y Juventud del Ayuntamiento de Caravaca de la Cruz, junto con la Federación de Asociaciones de Padres y Madres del municipio, va a desarrollar tres acciones formativas para niños y jóvenes,con el plazo de inscripción ya abierto. Las nuevas actividades son la ‘Escuela Emocional Infantil’, el taller ‘Entrenamiento en funciones ejecutivas, técnicas de estudio, motivación y mindfulness’ y el ‘Club de lectura creativa’, impartidos por especialistas del Centro de Psicología, Pedagogía, Formación y Desarrollo Personal ‘Imaginia’.
